Esther Caswell is the daughter of missionary parents. She grew up in northern Canada. After three years of studies at a Catholic Liberal Arts college in New Hampshire, USA, she entered the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist in Ann Arbor Michigan. As a Dominican Sister, She completed her B. A. in Education at Eastern Michigan University. She went on to pursue her Masters in Theology at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. Esther expressed her love to Christ through teaching and evangelizing.
In the Year of Mercy after a profound year of Grace, Christ called Esther into a new ministry by highlighting the great need for families, especially mothers to know the Church as a Mother with struggling families at the cross. Pursuing this call, Esther founded Vidi Aquam, a ministry of accompaniment and formation for the restoration and strengthening of the home. Expressing this ministry of restoring home, Esther resides in Austin, Texas at Loreto House, a home modeled on the first home of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Loreto House is a place of encouragement, formation and encounter where mothers and families can receive the healing graces of Mary’s love. Esther continues her consecration through private vows and lives a life dedicated to Christ alone.
