El Dorado Mine and Ghost Town Tour

One of the greatest true Wild West sites of all time is at the junction of Eldorado Canyon and Colorado River. Because of its remote location, it would become one of the most lawless places throughout the west during the 1800s. For hundreds of years, Indians, Spaniards and early explorers did battle, a military outpost was established and one of Nevada’s richest gold mines discovered.

“I think there never was another place where, in proportion to the population, so many murders were committed without the criminals being brought to trial or apprehended.” – Eldorado Gold Miner, 1880.

This tour includes ¼ mile walk through the Eldorado gold mine and story telling within a general store. The property also includes numerous movie backdrops and artifacts. Note: The guided talk and tour is indoors and within the cool temperature of the mine. Water consumption is still encouraged and touring the rest of the property is optional.

See their website and pictures here: www.eldoradocanyonminetours.com
