1. Whitewater River Tubing
An exciting adventure through a man-made whitewater playpark down the Clear Creek in Golden! This float is for those who can swim and people should be in reasonable physical condition just in case you fall off your tube and need to get back on. Both single and double tubes are available so you can float with a friend if you’d like to stay together. When you arrive, just request a double-tube if interested. You will be outfitted with a commercial grade tube, life jacket and helmet (optional) and be given a tubing tips talk with great information about how to safely and enjoyably float the rapids. You MUST have foot protection. You can bring your own, or they have nice surf booties for rent for $5 or you can purchase nice water shoes for $13. They have lockers to store your gear and changing rooms. Lockers cost $4 to rent. Lastly, a shuttle will take you up to the start at Gateway Trailhead along the Clear Creek where you will put-in and begin your tubing adventure all the way down to the Adventure West Tube Stand. This shuttle service is repeated a second time, so you get 2 runs down the Clear Creek to make your entire adventure about a 2 – 2.5 hour experience.
Cost: $60 (includes all taxes and fees, gratuities, and light snacks provided by your NCSC volunteer group leaders. It does not include transportation, so please be prepared to contribute ~$20 toward that.)

2. Guided E-biking Tour
People should feel comfortable riding a regular bike in order to feel comfortable riding an e-bike. This tour begins with a brief e-bike orientation. Participants will get fitted for a bike and helmet (mandatory to wear) and will be allowed to take a short practice ride to ensure they are comfortable with the e-bike before the tour begins. You must wear close-toed shoes (no sandals/flip-flops).
The Canyon Tour: Experience the best of Golden in this jam-packed, 1 3⁄4 hour tour. Riders are enlightened with fresh mountain air as they travel through Golden’s inner parks and neighborhoods before entering the breathtaking beauty of Clear Creek Canyon. Your friendly and knowledgeable guide will make several stops to share Golden’s landmarks and western history.

In great shape and wanting to get into the mountains? Join us for a difficult (but gorgeous) high-altitude alpine hike! We’ll hike up to 9.5-11 miles with as much as 3,300 ft elevation gain. This will be a difficult hike but very worth the effort, with magnificent views.

It may be sunny but the air will be cooler in the mountains than in Denver, and it’s likely to be windy at the top. Packing list will be emailed to you. PLEASE NOTE: The hike is strenuous. It requires good balance and physical and mental endurance. It is very important to be sure your fitness level is appropriate for this hike. (Can you run 3 miles in 40 minutes?)

Time: 7:00 am to 8:30 pm

Join other NCSC community members as you enjoy great food and conversation at this nearby restaurant (less than a mile from the hotel). There is limited seating at the restaurant so it is imperative that you SIGN UP here on the NCSC site to reserve your spot. Also, the restaurant needs to know how many are coming in order to have enough cooks and servers available that evening. Space is limited. Sign up now to secure your spot (and if you need to cancel, please notify the group leaders). It’s a pleasant mile-long walk to the restaurant from the hotel, but if you need a ride, the hotel’s shuttle can likely take you.
Time: 6:15 pm to 8:30 pm
