Molly Brown Museum, Mass at the Denver Cathedral Basilica and Lunch

What is the Molly Brown House Museum?

The Molly Brown House Museum is the former house of Margaret “Molly” Brown, a philanthropist, activist, and socialite best know for surviving the sinking the Titanic and later earning her the nickname “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” for her bravery and efforts in assisting other survivors.  The museum, which is a designated Denver Landmark, is a place where visitors can learn about her journey from humble beginnings to becoming a prominent figure in society and her enduring legacy of advocacy and resilience.

Also, the Molly Brown House Museum has acquired exciting and rare Titanic artifacts! These, and many more never-before-seen artifacts, will be the centerpiece of the museum’s latest exhibit, See Justice Done: The Legacy of the Titanic Survivors’ Committee which will be a part of our tour of the museum during our visit.

**Interesting Fun Fact** If you saw the famous Titanic movie made back in 1997 that starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, the character of Molly Brown was played by the spunky and humorous Kathy Bates.

**Important** Mass will take place at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception which is a Jubilee Pilgrimage Site.  Note: A plenary indulgence may be obtained for a visit to any Jubilee Pilgrimage Site under the general norms, which are detachment from all sin, even venial, sacramental confession, reception of Holy Communion, and praying for the Holy Father’s intentions.
