Looking for a peaceful getaway with a community of fellow single Catholics who “get” you?

This retreat is for you.

Located an hour outside Philadelphia, in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania, the St. Mary of Providence Retreat Center is home to an historic mansion (where we’ll have all our meals, and some accommodations), as well as a retreat center (with further accommodations), plus two chapels and extensive outdoor grounds. It’s a perfect place to get away and connect with Our Lord in a deeper way, while enjoying connection and community.

*Single-room supplement +$400

GENERAL ITINERARY
Retreat begins with dinner on Thursday, November 12th and ends Sunday, November 15th with lunch. (All accommodations and meals are included.)

Please note: There will also be an option to come a night early (Wednesday, November 11th) and participate in a pre-retreat excursion on Thursday morning/afternoon, or have an extra personal retreat day at the retreat house. In addition, if 50% of retreatants choose to stay Sunday night, November 15th, the retreat house will allow us to book an additional night. Please make a note: “SUNDAY NIGHT” in the SPECIAL REQUESTS section when you register if you’d like to stay an additional night. We will notify all registrants at least 6 weeks prior to the retreat if the additional night is available.


Pre/Post Retreat Excursions – tentative schedule:


French Creek State Park and/or St. Peter’s Village Trail

@ 20 minutes from the Retreat House
Thursday, November 12th and/OR Sunday, November 15th

Overview:
Enjoy the fall colors with some hiking and fellowship before and/or after the retreat. Details TBA

Transportation:

  • Rideshare or self-drive
  • Coordination via group communication prior to departure
  • Cost: gas contribution or self-drive

Sight & Sound Theatre – Joshua

Sight & Sound Theatres
Thursday, November 12
9:30 AM – 4:30 PM (excursion timeframe)
11:00 AM – 1:30 PM (actual showtime)

Overview:
Experience the powerful biblical story of Joshua brought to life through a professional stage production featuring immersive sets, live animals, and a strong message of faith and trust in God.

Logistics:

  • Participants sign up via Google Sheet for rideshare coordination
  • 9:30 AM – Depart from Our Lady of Providence Retreat Center
    or meet directly at the theater
  • 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM – Show time
  • 1:45 PM – Group departs for late lunch at Katie’s Kitchen (Casual, Amish-style dining experience)
  • 4:30 PM – Arrival back to retreat house

Transportation and Costs:

  • Rideshare or self-drive only
  • Groups formed in advance for smooth coordination
  • Est. cost: $97 for group ticket + contribution for gas (or self-drive) + lunch.

Amish Village Tour

Lancaster County
Sunday, November 15
1:30 PM – 5:30 PM (excursion timeframe)
2:30 PM – 4:30 PM (time at the Amish Village)

Overview:
A guided visit through an authentic Amish village, including a farmhouse, school, and grounds. Participants will gain insight into the simplicity, faith, and traditions of Amish life—offering a reflective close to the retreat experience.

Logistics:

  • 1:30 PM – Depart retreat center
  • 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM – Tour
  • Return or continue on to additional Sunday activities

Transportation:

  • Rideshare or self-drive
  • Coordination via group communication prior to departure
  • Cost: Ticket + gas contribution or self-drive (est. $25)

Dutch Wonderland

Dutch Wonderland
Sunday, November 15
3:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Overview:
A lighthearted, social outing following the retreat. This optional activity offers a relaxed environment for continued fellowship and fun before departure or overnight stay.

Logistics:

  • Participants may go directly after the Amish tour or arrive independently
  • Flexible arrival and departure within the 3:00–8:00 PM window
  • Ideal for those planning to stay Sunday night locally

Transportation:

  • Rideshare or self-drive
  • Small groups can coordinate based on interest and timing
  • Cost: Dutch Wonderland ticket + gas contribution or self-drive (est. $50)
