Over 50% of attendees participate in the Pre/Post events! Please note, conference registration is normally required for participation in the Pre/Post Events. This year the following events are also open to those not registered for the conference: Wednesday kayaking trip, Henry Ford Museum trips on Thursday/Monday, FRIDAY: Detroit Art Institute, Riverboat Cruise and SPEED DATING, Sunday beer bike trip, the Monday Beach trip, and and the Tigers game on Tuesday, so feel free invite your friends!

- Afternoon Kayaking Trip (Ann Arbor) – (10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. – 2 hours on the water plus travel time there and back)
- Wine and Tango at Motor City Wine bar (Detroit) – (3:45 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.ish…)
- Welcome Mass & Dinner in Downtown Plymouth – (5:15 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.…)
- Visit to the Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village (Detroit) – (9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.)
- Churches pilgrimage/Solanus Casey Shrine – (9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.)
- Dinner and Trivia night at St. John’s Resort – (7:00 p.m.)
- See BULLETIN BOARD on the GS24/NCSC app (registered participants) for other Thursday afternoon last-minute opportunities including: a tour at All Saints Shrine (200 relics) at 4pm, followed by a foodie tour. OR Gather a group and head to the Greek Fest for some delicious food!
- Detroit Institute of Art and lunch in Greektown (9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
- Riverboat Cruise with lunch (Detroit) – (9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
- Hike at Kensington Metropark with lunch at Buddy’s Pizza, Novi (Detroit style) (9:15 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.)
- Speed Dating Social! (by age brackets – 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm)
- Visit to Frankenmuth (2:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.)
- Lunch at Buddy’s Pizza, Plymouth (Detroit Style) and Hiking at Maybury State Park (Northville)– (2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
- Ann Arbor Afternoon – lunch at an Irish Pub and Beer Bike City Tour! (1:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.)
- Beach Trip to west coast of Michigan (Grand Haven and Holland – 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.)
- Visit to the Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village (Detroit) (9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. – can leave early if flying out in the afternoon)
- Tour of “the Big House” (Michigan Stadium) and Mass at Domino’s Farms (9:15 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.)
- Detroit Tigers Game (playing the NY Yankees at Comerica Park) – (4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. – subject to update)
You can also organize with fellow NCSC attendees on your own to visit attractions in the area! Motown Museum comes highly recommended (open only Wednesday-Sunday) and you can savor some delicious Greek food down the road from St. John’s Resort at the Michigan Greek Festival!
